BE, BLACK GIRL, BE follows a girl on a journey of envisioning endless possibilities for her life as she embraces love for her self and for what she could become. While acknowledging hurdles, the radiance and affirmation of the text soar above self-doubt.

Taylor Darks has a poetry collection for adults and three self-published books for children. Now pursuing a doctoral degree in Sociology, she studies race and inequality. When she's not writing or studying you can find her working out or sharing food with friends.
