Newcomer Mary E. Haque has a Valentine/love picture book entitled PAINTING THE SKY WITH LOVE: A Celebration of Love and Community in which a child "paints" the sky with love. Hearts cascade and float and bounce down, while at the same time, people looking up at the sky open their hearts. It won the 2024 Northern Lights Book Award in the Community Category.

Journals such as "Wild Roof," "Cosmic Daffodils" and "Amethyst Review" have published Mary'
s poems and prose work. Her favored themes are the natural world, love, and peace. She's the mom of two artsy adult children and resides with her partner in Chicago.
