Loretta Ellsworth's debut picture book TANGLE KNOT, is about a highly self-confident girl who hosts a nest of bird eggs in her tangled hair, as she and her mom negotiate the territory of freedom and rules the situation poses.

Loretta's young adult novel IN A HEARTBEAT, about the blurred lines between the living and the recently dead in a story of two girls who share one heart, was named a spring Midwest Connections' Pick. UNFORGETTABLE is the story of a teen boy who is incapable of forgetting anything, even the smallest details of what he had for lunch on a Thursday in first grade - or everything about a girl who doesn't know how special she is to him.
