PANDO: A Living Wonder of Trees is a nonfiction picture book about Pando, a gigantic grove of quaking Aspen trees connected by their roots to form one of the world's oldest and largest living things. The story depicts the challenges Pando faces to survive and shows how children can be part of the solution.
Kate Allen Fox's writing has appeared in several publications, including The New York Times. Her interest in science and the natural world in part comes from her eight years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) translating scientific concepts for lay audiences.
